| | # LibreOffice Theme Changer (GUI) ## LO-TC GUI Extension to manage LibreOffice Theme. This extension is based on [LibreOffice Theme Changer](https://github.com/raniaamina/libreoffice-theme) by Rania Amina & Sofyan Sugianto. ## Target ### Starting Point * [x] Wireframe and concept * [x] UI Development ### Manage theme for LibreOffice 6.x * [x] Import Theme (we will use \*.lotc as theme format) * [x] Apply theme to LibreOffice 6.x * [x] Remove imported theme from LO-TC list * [x] Create own theme ### Current Support The target of LO-TC Development mainly is for LibreOffice 6.2 or newer. LibreOffice available in various package or instalation method, especially for Linux. So, we make some priority stage. * Linux * [x] Install from distro repository * [x] Install from DEB/RPM package (from web) * [x] Compile from source * [x] Flatpak * [x] Snap * [ ] AppImage (is it needed? We still not sure to supporting LOTC in Appimage or maybe later) * Mac OS * [x] Mac OS * Windows * [x] Windows 7/8/8.1/10 # Build & Install ### Build Extension To build LO-TC, just follow this steps: ```bash # clone repository git clone https://github.com/libreofficeid/LO-TC-GUI.git # enter to clone directory cd LO-TC-GUI # build extension make zip ``` we have special command `make all` to everyone who wanna help us to develop this extension. This command used if you have make some update to python code, and wanna to show the update directly on your LibreOffice without re-install extension via Extension Manager. Just run `make all` then restart the LibreOffice. {% hint style="info" %} Some operating system doesn't provide **python3-uno** package/library which is needed to run LOTC. Please make sure that this library already installed on your system before running LOTC. {% endhint %} ### Extension Installation Just like other extension, you only need to import this extension via menu: Tools -> Extension Manager, then add extension. LibreOffice should restart after new extension installation. For your information, at the first run, LO-TC will ask you for root permission to setup local environment. Here is special note for Slatpak, Snap, and Windows user. **Only for flatpak user**, \ please run [**lotc-flatpak-first-run.sh**](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/libreofficeid/LO-TC-GUI/master/lotc-flatpak-first-run.sh) first. LibreOffice will opened, then open menu: Tools -> Extension Manager -> add extension. **Only for Windows user**\ After installing the extension and running it at the first time, you will be asked for many times User Account Control (UAC) for Administrator Privileges to do some modifications in LibreOffice Installation Directory. UAC will be prompted again when activating your desired theme. **Only for Snap user**\ After installing the extension and running it at the first time, you will be noticed that you have to run additional step to make this extension works. While running desired script, it will ask for sudo password to perform some modifications of your LibreOffice's Snap installation. After that, you should reboot your PC to apply this modifications. All of imported theme will listed at white area. Green Mark indicate that the theme is active or used now. To see the details of each theme, just click the theme name, and detail of theme will appear. Following are the steps to create a custom theme for LOTC. Before you start creating themes, make sure you have installed this extension in your LibreOffice. At the location that you specify, a theme directory will appear with the name that you specify. # Understanding the Directory Hierarchy The directory created by LOTC was still empty, please complete with your new theme data. We have provided a template to help you set up image assets, please [download it from the Lumbung page](https://lumbung.libreoffice.id/materi/panduan-membuat-tema-untuk-lotc/). \ \ Here is a description for each image asset. 1. **header.png** \ The header is the image that appears at the top of the LibreOffice program, precisely in the LibreOffice menu area. This header size standard we take from the standard size of the image assets on the themes persona. We strongly recommend that designs made for this header utilize the upper right corner area. The technical reason is that this area is the safest area and does not interfere with the visibility of the icons on the menu.
2. **footer.png** \ Footer is an image that will appear in the area below the LibreOffice program. Basically, this footer will automatically hide if there is no menu open at the bottom / LibreOffice footer. The safe area for this footer is on the right hand side.
3. **preview\.png** \ Preview is an image that will be displayed on the gear **menu** -> **Options** -> **Personalization**. This preview becomes your theme's identity. The safe area for this preview image is in the middle of the area.
4. **intro.png** \ Splash is the image that first appears when you run LibreOffice. Actually there is no standard size for this splash image, but we recommend using a size that is also used by LibreOffice which is 661 x 169 pixels. You can create a splash using the templates that we have provided.
5. **screenshot - \*. png** \ Help other users to identify your theme by providing screenshots or other images that are still related to your theme or identity. LOTC displays up to 3 images, we recommend that images have a 16:9 aspect ratio. # Preparing Configuration File After you have prepared the image assets, now let's prepare the configuration files. Here are some configuration files that you must prepare: 1. **persona\_list.txt**
**persona\_list.txt** is a configuration file to control how our theme will be displayed. The file contains information as follows: * Theme Directory Name * Theme Name (will appear as a tooltip) * Location of the preview file * Location of the header file * Footer file location * Backgrond and foreground colors The following is an example of the format of writing the information above (for example a theme created called Rainbow). ``` rainbow;Rainbow;rainbow/preview.png;rainbow/header.png;rainbow/footer.png;;#ffffff;#000000 ``` 2. **sofficerc** \ sofficerc is a file that will control how splash will be displayed. The following is the contents of the sofficerc file and some explanations. ```bash [Bootstrap] CrashDirectory=${$BRAND_BASE_DIR/program/bootstraprc:UserInstallation}/crash HideEula=1 Logo=1 NativeProgress=false ProgressBarColor=0,0,0 ProgressFrameColor=102,102,102 ProgressPosition=35,153 ProgressSize=444,8 ProgressTextBaseline=145 ProgressTextColor=0,0,0 SecureUserConfig=true SecureUserConfigCompress=true SecureUserConfigExtensions=true SecureUserConfigMode=1 SecureUserConfigNumCopies=2 URE_BOOTSTRAP=${ORIGIN}/fundamentalrc ``` To customize the look you only need to edit the following parameters;\ \ **A. Logo** \ Parameters to determine whether the splash is displayed or not
**B. NativeProgress** \ Displays native or custom progressbar \ **C. ProgressBarColor** \ ProgressFrameColor determines the frame color on the progressbar, this parameter uses the RGB color value
**D. ProgressPosition** \ Determine the location of the progressbar, this parameter uses the X and Y coordinate values\ \ **E. ProgressSize** \ Determining the size of the progressbar, this parameter uses the width and height values in pixels. # Update the Manifest File In the manifest.xml file, you actually only need to complete a few things. First, your social media site or url, secondly, a description of the theme that you created, and the last one is add the required links (maximum 2 links) that relate to your new theme. Describe your theme briefly, we recommend not exceeding 250 characters. Take advantage of links to direct users to sites that make it possible to explain themes more comprehensively. # Generate LOTC Basically, lotc files are zip archives containing the files that you created before. The easiest way to create this file is to archive your theme folder above in zip format, then change the zip extension to lotc by renaming it. Pada isian paling bawah adalah lokasi tempat tema baru Anda akan di simpan. Klik Create jika sudah selesai. Pada lokasi yang telah Anda tentukan, akan muncul direktori tema dengan nama sesuai yang telah Anda tentukan. # Memahami Hirarki Direktori Kerja Direktori yang telah dibuat oleh LOTC tadi masihlah kosong, silakan lengkapi dengan data-data tema baru Anda. Kami telah menyediakan template untuk membantu Anda menyiapkan aset-aset gambar, silakan unduh di [halaman Lumbung](https://lumbung.libreoffice.id/materi/panduan-membuat-tema-untuk-lotc/) di sebelah kanan tulisan ini. Berikut adalah keterangan untuk masing-masing aset gambar. 1. **header.png** \ Header merupakan gambar yang tampak pada bagian atas program LibreOffice, tepatnya di area menu LibreOffice. Standar ukuran header ini kami ambil dari standar ukuran aset gambar pada tema-tema persona. Kami sangat menyarankan agar desain yang dibuat untuk header ini memanfaatkan area pojok kanan atas. Alasan teknisnya adalah karena area ini merupakan area palinga aman dan tidak mengganggu visibilitas ikon-ikon pada menu. 2. **footer.png** \ Footer merupakan gambar yang akan tampil pada area bawah program LibreOffice. Pada dasarnya footer ini akan tersembunyi secara otomatis apabila tidak ada menu yang terbuka pada bagian bawah/footer LibreOffice. Area aman untuk footer ini berada di sisi kanan. 3. **preview\.png** \ Preview merupakan gambar yang akan ditampilkan pada menu perkakas --> Opsi--> Personalisasi. Preview ini menjadi identitas tema Anda. Area aman untuk gambar preview ini berada di bagian tengah area. 4. **intro.png** \ Splash merupakan gambar yang pertama kali muncul ketika Anda menjalankan LibreOffice. Sebenarnya tak ada ukurab baku untuk gambar splash ini, namun kami sarankan untuk menggunakan ukuran yang juga digunakan oleh LibreOffice yaitu 661 x 169 piksel. Anda dapat membuat splash menggunakan template yang sudah kami sediakan. 5. **screenshot-\*.png** \ Bantu para pengguna lain untuk memngenali tema Anda dengan memberikan tangkapan layar atau gambar lain yang masih berkaitan dengan tema atau identitas Anda. LOTC menampilkan hingga 3 gambar, kami sarankan agar gambar memiliki aspek rasio 16:9. # Menyiapkan Berkas Konfigurasi Setelah Anda menyiapkan aset-aset gambar, sekarang mari menyiapkan berkas-berkas konfigurasi. Berikut adalah beberapa berkas konfigurasi yang harus Anda siapkan: 1. **persona\_list.txt**
**persona\_list.txt** merupakan berkas konfigurasi untuk mengatur bagaimana tema kita akan ditampilkan. Berkas terserbut memuat informasi sebagai berikut: * Nama Direktori Tema * Nama Tema (akan muncul sebagai tooltip) * Lokasi berkas preview * Lokasi berkas header * Lokasi berkas footer * Warna backgrond dan foreground
Berikut merupakan contoh format penulisan informasi di atas (misalnya tema yang dibuat bernama ***rainbow***). ```bash rainbow;Rainbow;rainbow/preview.png;rainbow/header.png;rainbow/footer.png;;#ffffff;#000000 ``` 2. **sofficerc**\ **sofficerc** merupakan berkas yang akan mengatur bagaimana splash akan ditampilkan. LO-TC allows you to easily replace default splash images and persona themes on LibreOffice with your own image. ### # Themes Instalation We provide several themes that you can choose and use directly, but you can also add your own themes that you want. Step by step how to create own them will provided in the next section. To run LO-TC, please follow the following steps. Save and place each assets that will be created in the **themes** directory. LO-TC will automatically read the list of themes contained in the directory, we call them preinstalled themes. please pay attention to the following directory hierarchy to help you find out where the assets are stored in the next steps. ```bash themes └── your-theme ├── program │ ├── intro.png │ └── sofficerc ├── screenshot.png └── share └── gallery └── personas ├── your-theme │ ├── footer.png │ ├── header.png │ └── preview.png └── personas_list.txt ``` \[UPDATE] We have provided additional tools to help you create a full and fast theme folder. Automatically the LO-TC will create a theme directory according to the name you entered under the `themes` folder. #### Preparing Image Assets The pictures that must be prepared to make this theme include: 1. Splash Splash is the image that appears at the first time when you run LibreOffice. Actually there is no standard size for this splash image, but we recommend using the size that is also used by LibreOffice which is 661x169 pixels. You can make a splash using the template that we have provided. Header The header is an image that appears at the top of the LibreOffice program, precisely in the LibreOffice menu area. The technical reason is because this area is the most save area and does not interfere with the visibility of the icons on the menu. We have prepared a header template that is ready to be modified. Simpan dan tempatkan masing-masing aset yang nantinya akan dibuat ke dalam direktori **themes**. Untuk saat ini kami mengelompokkan sumberdaya ini ke dalam tiga kelompok; * Materi Sumberdaya yang berisi panduan, tutorial, modul, atau sejenisnya. * Templat Sumber daya berupa templat yang siap pakai untuk writer, calc, impress, atau yang lain. * Tema Sumber daya berupa tema siap pakai. Kami menyediakan perkakas pembuat dan pengolah tema LibreOffice (khusunya LibreOffice versi 6.2 ke atas) yang dapat diakses melalui [tautan ini](https://github.com/raniaamina/libreoffice-theme). # Berbagi Sumber Daya ## Berbagi Sumber Daya Untuk Anda yang ingin membagikan sumber daya ke Lumbung, kami telah menyiapkan beberapa metode pengiriman sumber daya. * Melalui Pull Request Pastikan [Hugo](https://gohugo.io) sudah terpasang di komputer Anda. Selanjutnya fork & clone repositori ini ke akun Github Anda. Kemudian jalankan salah satu perintah berikut. ```bash # Jika hendak menambah konten materi: hugo new --kind materi 'materi/Judul Materi' # Jika hendak menambah konten template: hugo new --kind template 'templat/Judul Template' # Jika hendak menambah konten tema: hugo new --kind tema 'tema/Judul Tema' ``` Langkah selanjutnya adalah melengkapi data konten yang akan ditambahkan. Untuk melakukannya, silakan sunting berkas index.md yang terdapat pada direktori `content/materi` misalnya, untuk konten berupa materi. Jika sudah, silakan buat commit terhadap perubahan Anda, kemudian segera ajukan Pull Request. Pastikan deskripsi commit ditulis dengan ringkas dan jelas. Sebelum mendorong perubahan, Anda dapat terlebih dahulu meninjau perubahan yang Anda buat dengan menjalankan Hugo. ```bash hugo server ``` * Melalui Formulir Google Untuk Anda yang belum terbiasa menggunakan perintah-perintah git, kami telah menyediakan Google Form untuk membantu Anda mengirimkan konten sumber daya yang hendak dibagikan. Silakan berkabar kepada kami bila Anda memiliki ide atau saran untuk memperbaiki layanan ini melalui Issue Github. # Penerjemahan LibreOffice ID Dokumentasi ini berisi berkas/dokumen terkait penerjemahan LibreOffice ke Bahasa Indonesia. Di dalamnya terdapat : 1. Panduan : berisi langkah-langkah yang perlu dilakukan oleh penerjemah sebelum, saat, dan setelah menerjemahkan. 2. Glossarium : merangkum kata-kata hasil terjemahan yang disepakati bersama oleh penerjemah. Kata-kata yang belum memiliki padanan dalam bahasa Indonesia, akan diberi tanda tanya. {% hint style="info" %} Laman baru Glosarium LibreOffice ID: {% endhint %} # Panduan Penerjemahan LibreOffice ## Sebelum Menerjemahkan * **Baca panduan konten UI dan Help dari LibreOffice**. [Panduan konten UI dan Help LibreOffice](https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UI_and_Help_files_Content_Guide) memuat informasi penting seperti simbol-simbol dan *variabel* yang **tidak boleh diubah** ketika kita melakukan penerjemahan. Pastikan Anda menyempatkan waktu membacanya agar dapat meminimalisasi kesalahan. **Saat Menerjemahkan**
* **Pahami dulu keseluruhan kalimat/paragraf sebelum menerjemahkan.** Dengan memahami maksud dan konteks dari kalimat/paragraf yang diterjemahkan, Anda dapat meminimalisasi kesalahan penerjemahan.\ * **Gunakan mesin penerjemah dengan hati-hati.** Menggunakan mesin penerjemah diperbolehkan namun Anda perlu berhati-hati. Mesin penerjemah seringkali tidak mampu mengenali ungkapan-ungkapan khusus dalam Bahasa Inggris. Contohnya, ungkapan *take with a grain of salt* dalam bahasa Inggris akan diterjemahkan menjadi "ambil dengan butiran garam" oleh mesin penerjemah, padahal itu adalah ungkapan yang berarti bahwa kita sebaiknya tidak percaya begitu saja kepada sesuatu. Oleh karena itu, periksa ulang hasil terjemahan mesin penerjemah sebelum menggunakannya.
* **Jangan menerjemahkan kata-demi-kata.** Tata bahasa Bahasa Inggris berbeda dengan Bahasa Indonesia. Oleh karena itu hindari menerjemahkan kata-demi-kata. Sesuaikanlan kalimat dengan gaya Bahasa Indonesia.
* **Rujuk glosarium untuk LibreOffice.** Glosarium yang dibuat dan diperbaharui oleh kawan-kawan penerjemah LibreOffice ini berisi kata-kata atau istilah yang digunakan di LibreOffice beserta padanan katanya dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Untuk memastikan padanan kata yang saat ini digunakan di LibreOffice, Anda dapat merujuk dokumen ini.
* **Rujuk kamus.** Apabila menemui kata yang tidak ada di glosarium atau tidak Anda ketahui artinya atau Anda kurang pasti, sebaiknya Anda periksa arti kata tersebut melalui kamus. Jika kata tersebut tidak ada dalam kamus, tulis kata tersebut menurut cara baca bahasa Indonesia (untuk istilah teknis/khusus, contohnya: hydrochlorothiazide menjadi hidroklorotiazid), atau biarkan kata tersebut dalam bahasa aslinya, namun dicetak miring. Untuk istilah-istilah teknis, Anda juga bisa mencari padanannya di [Glosarium Pusat Bahasa](http://118.98.223.79/glosarium/index.php?gloss_asing=hall\&gloss_indonesia=\&jenis=exact\&Bidang=all\&infocmd=Cari) atau [Kateglo](http://kateglo.com)
* **Selalu rujuk kamus.** Poin ini perlu diulang karena **seringkali kata-kata tertentu** dalam bahasa asing **memiliki lebih dari satu makna**. Contohnya, istilah *measure* dapat menjadi kata kerja yang berarti "mengukur", atau sebagai kata benda yang bermakna "pengukuran", tapi dalam konteks kebijakan dan perundang-undangan istilah ini memiliki makna yang sangat berbeda **tergantung pada konteksnya**, seperti "tindakan pemerintah", "undang-undang", atau "rancangan undang-undang". Sebagai contoh: kalimat the *Senate passed the measure by a 48–30 vote* akan menjadi salah jika diterjemahkan menjadi "Senat menetapkan ukuran dengan perolehan suara 48-30"; penerjemahan yang tepat dalam konteks ini adalah "Senat telah mengesahkan undang-undang ini dengan perolehan suara 48-30." Maka dari itu, **perhatikan konteks** dan **selalu rujuk kamus.** Salah satu kamus daring yang dapat digunakan adalah [Merriam-Webster](https://www.merriam-webster.com/)
* **Periksalah kata yang bersifat homonim.** Misalnya kata *The Golden Ass*, dimana *Ass* sendiri bisa berarti pantat, bisa juga berarti keledai. Pilihlah pemakaian kata yang selaras dengan konteksnya.
* **Bijaklah dalam mencari padanan untuk kata yang tidak bisa diterjemahkan langsung.** Ada kalanya sebuah kata dalam bahasa Inggris dapat dicocokkan dengan padanan bahasa Indonesia-nya. Misalnya *courtier* bisa diterjemahkan menjadi *abdi dalem*. Namun, seringkali suatu istilah memiliki cakupan/artian yang tidak sepenuhnya sama dengan istilah yang seolah bisa menjadi padanan Indonesia-nya, dan dalam hal ini istilah aslinya bisa dipertahankan dan dicetak miring. Contohnya kata *phaeton* tidak seharusnya dicocokkan dengan kata *delman* mengingat adanya perbedaan cakupan makna, walaupun keduanya memang terkesan serupa.
* **Hindari menggunakan kata *****di mana*****.** Dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indo-Eropa lainnya, kata where dapat diganti dengan kata yang, tempat, atau ketika, tergantung konteksnya. Lihat: [Penggunaan "di mana" sebagai penghubung dua klausa](https://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Pedoman_ejaan_dan_penulisan_kata#Penggunaan_%22di_mana%22_sebagai_penghubung_dua_klausa). ## **Setelah Menerjemahkan** * **Periksa lagi.** Semahir apapun kemampuan bahasa asing Anda, kesalahan adalah hal yang lumrah, baik itu kesalahan penerjemahan, penggunaan kata yang terkesan kaku, penggunaan preposisi yang tidak tepat, atau kesalahan ketik. Maka dari itu, bacalah ulang terjemahan yang sudah Anda buat dan bandingkan dengan versi aslinya. * **Jika Anda menggunakan Pootle, perhatikan bagian *****failing check*****, terutama yang *****critical*****.** Pootle memiliki fitur pemeriksaan kesalahan pada hasil penerjemahan, seperti spasi ganda, tanda kurung tidak lengkap, kurang tanda baca, dll. Silakan memeriksa bagian tersebut untuk memastikan tidak ada kesalahan.
